AsemconnectVietnam - Accounting for 27.8% of total import turnover of goods, computers, electronic products and components are currently the largest group of imported goods in Vietnam.

According to General Department of Customs, in the first half of July 2024, import turnover of computers, electronic products and components reached nearly 5 billion USD, thereby raising total import turnover of this group of goods from the beginning of this year to July 15 to 54.3 billion USD (equivalent to more than 1.36 million billion VND).
Compared to the same period last year, import turnover of this group of goods increased by 28.4% (equivalent to an increase of more than 12 billion USD).
Notably, computers, electronic products and components account for 27.8% of the country's total import turnover of goods. If this result is maintained from now until the end of 2024, import turnover of computers, electronic products and components this year is likely to reach 100 billion USD.
In terms of markets, China and South Korea are two markets from which Vietnam imports the most computers, electronic products and components. Of which, Chinese market leads with a turnover of approximately 16 billion USD, a sharp increase of 60% (equivalent to nearly 6 billion USD) compared to the same period in 2023.
Meanwhile, imports from South Korean market reached 14.77 billion USD, an increase of 18.16% over the same period last year (equivalent to an increase of 2.27 billion USD). With 30.77 billion USD, two major markets in Asia alone account for 56.67% of the country's total import turnover of computers, electronic products and components.
