AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover to the US market in December of 2024 reached more than 10.5 billion USD, up by 3.7% over the previous month, and in 2024 it reached more than 119.5 billion USD, up by 23.1% over the same period last year.

Currently, more than half of Vietnam's export value to the US is high-tech products (consumer electronics, smartphones), garments and footwear products, the rest are other products such as furniture and agricultural products.
In 2024, the leading export turnover was computers, electronic products and components, reaching more than 23.2 billion USD, up by 36.3% over the same period last year, accounting for 19.4% of the export proportion. The next was the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 22.05 billion USD, up by 21.1% over the same period last year, accounting for 18.4%; and then textiles and garments reaching 16.1 billion USD, accounting for 13.5% of the export proportion.
Several items with increased export turnover in 2024 compared to the previous year, including plastic products increased by 42.4%; iron and steel of all kinds increased by 54.8%; pepper increased by 84.2%; animal feed and raw materials increased by 42.9%; glass and glass products increased by 88.1%; tea increased by 47.5%.
The US is currently leading Vietnam's export markets. Meanwhile, Vietnam has become a major trading partner of the US and is an important link in the supply chain of many types of goods for the US market.
Among Vietnam’s export items to the US, agricultural products, seafood, furniture, decoration, etc. occupy a very important position because these are the groups of products that are strong in Vietnam and the US has a great demand.
