Name items Vietnam exports the most to China

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 7 months of 2024, Vietnam's goods exports to the Chinese market reached 32.39 billion USD, up 5.8%, equivalent to an increase of 1.77 billion USD over the same period.

According to data from General Department of Customs, in the first 7 months of this year, Vietnam exported 41 main items to China, of which 8 items reached a turnover of over 1 billion USD with a total value of 24.83 billion USD, accounting for 76% of Vietnam's goods export turnover to this market.
Electronics group continued to lead in exports, of which phones and components had a turnover of 7.39 billion USD, a slight increase of 0.9% over the same period last year; computers, electronic products and components reached 6.85 billion USD, down 9.1% over the same period last year; machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts also reached 1.85 billion USD, up 5.7% over the same period last year.
In electronics export group, Vietnam also earned 2.74 billion USD from exporting cameras, camcorders and components to China. Compared to the same period last year, export turnover of this item recorded a growth of 85% over the same period last year and was also item with the highest growth rate among 8 export items reaching over 1 billion USD.
In garment group, Vietnam exported footwear to China with 1.09 billion USD, up 6.8% over the same period. Meanwhile, export of textile fibers and yarns decreased by 3.1% over the same period last year, to 1.2 billion USD. Decrease occurred despite amount of textile fibers and yarns exported to China increasing from 474,909 tonnes (same period last year) to 486,246 tonnes in this period. The reason is that average export price of this item decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year, reaching only 2,523 USD/tonne.
In agricultural group, Vietnam exported wood and wood products to China for 1.2 billion USD, up 39.5% over the same period. Fruit and vegetable export turnover also reached 2.49 billion USD, up 25.1% over the same period last year.
During this period, Vietnam did not record rubber exports to China in billion USD list. However, in the same period last year, Vietnam exported 757,603 tonnes of rubber to this country, earning about one billion USD in turnover.
