Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November increased by 1.4%

AsemconnectVietnam - The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November were estimated at 552.7 trillion VND, up by 1.4% over the previous month and up by 10.1% over the same period last year due to consumer demand.

Food, foodstuffs, cultural items, education and accommodation, catering, and travel services continued to maintain an increasing trend compared to the same period last year.
In the first 11 months of 2023, Vietnam’s total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 9.6% over the same period last year, of which accommodation and food service revenue increased by 15.3%, tourism revenue increased by 50.5%; estimated to reach 5,667 trillion VND, up by 9.6% over the same period last year (the figure of the same period of 2022 increased by 20.2%). If excluding the price factor, the figure increased by 7% (the figure of the same period of 2022 increased by 16.6%).
Retail revenue of goods in the 11 months of 2023 was estimated to reach 4,420 trillion VND, accounting for 78% of the total and increasing 8.6% over the same period last year (excluding the price factor, which increased by 6.8%). The retail revenue of goods of Quang Ninh increased by 12.4%; Binh Duong increased by 10.8%; Khanh Hoa increased by 10.7%; Hai Phong increased by 9.9%; Can Tho increased by 9.4%; Dong Nai increased by 8.5%; Ho Chi Minh City increased by 7%; Hanoi increased by 6.7%; Da Nang increased by 6.2%.
Revenue from accommodation and food services in the first 11 months of 2023 was estimated to reach 616 trillion VND, accounting for 10.9% of the total and increasing 15.3% over the same period last year. The travel revenue in the first 11 months of 2023 was estimated to reach 34 trillion VND, accounting for 0.6% of the total and increasing 50.5% over the same period last year because since the beginning of the year, localities have actively deployed many tourism products, cultural and sports activities to stimulate tourism demand.
Other service revenue in the first 11 months of 2023 was estimated to reach 597 trillion VND, accounting for 10.5% of the total and increasing 10.6% over the same period last year. Specifically: Bac Ninh increased by 21.9%; Dong Nai increased by 19.8%; Dong Thap increased by 15.1%; Lang Son increased by 12.9%; Thai Nguyen increased by 11.8%; Da Nang increased by 10.6%; Hanoi increased by 9%; Can Tho increased by 8.7%; Hai Phong increased by 5.3%; Phu Tho decreased by 0.1%; Quang Tri decreased by 0.3%.
