An Giang launches first cultural space commemorating Uncle Ho, Uncle Ton
Wednesday, August 21,2024AsemconnectVietnam - The An Giang Federation of Labour on August 20 inaugurated the cultural space dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang – the great leaders of the nation.
The space, the first built by a trade union in Vietnam, shows sentiments of An Giang province - the hometown of President Ton Duc Thang - towards the two late leaders, aiming to provide a venue for local officials, trade union members and workers to get a deeper insight into their life and revolutionary career. It is expected to spread positive values of learning and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of the Presidents among local officials, trade union members and workers.
The work, built at a cost of more than 120 million VND (4,813 USD), include billboards and photos spotlighting the life and career of the late leaders, a corner introducing the provincial trade unions’ efforts in studying and following their examples in caring for the lives of union members and workers, and an outdoor sports space. Addressing the inauguration, Vice President of the An Giang Federation of Labour Lu Thi Kim Thuy affirmed that the work is part of efforts to improve the cultural and spiritual life for workers at industrial parks, providing a venue for them to meet, exchange and do physical exercise after working hours, thus enhancing their cultural enjoyment.
