Sacombank (STB) plans to achieve VND8,100 billion profit in 2026
Friday, March 13,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - This plan reflects the challenges of the past year and is also a cautious step in line with the bank's new long-term development orientation.
Specifically, Sacombank aims for a pre-tax profit of VND8,100 billion in 2026, a 6.2% increase compared to the 2025 results. Total assets are expected to increase by 10.2%, bringing the total asset size to over VND1 trillion – a significant milestone in terms of its position and financial capacity.
The bank also aims for outstanding loans of VND699,400 billion (an 11.7% increase or according to the credit growth limit assigned by the State Bank of Vietnam), and total deposits of VND921,300 billion (a 10.2% increase). Sacombank aims to keep the non-performing loan ratio below 5%.
These growth targets are also considered cautious compared to previous years, prioritizing a balance between development goals and ensuring system safety, while accurately reflecting the challenges the bank has faced in the past period.
Previously, at the end of 2025, Sacombank recorded consolidated pre-tax profit of VND7,628 billion, equivalent to 52% of the annual plan. In the fourth quarter of 2025 alone, it recorded a loss of over VND3,300 billion, mainly due to a sharp increase in provision expenses. As of the end of 2025, the non-performing loan ratio of the bank's customer loans was at a high level of 6.41%.
Despite numerous challenges, by the end of 2025, the Bank will maintain its expansion momentum: total assets at the end of 2025 will reach VND917,120 billion (up 22.6%), total credit will reach VND626,392 billion (up 16.1%), total deposits will reach VND836,379 billion (up 23.9%), and the CASA ratio will remain stable at over 15.0%.
The 2026 plan shows that Sacombank is shifting its focus from scale growth to strengthening asset quality and governance capacity. This is also the foundation for the bank to aim for sustainable medium- and long-term development, ensuring harmonious benefits for customers, partners, and shareholders.
