VietinBank Insurance helps children in highland areas go to School

 Tuesday, December 30,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - VietinBank Insurance (VBI) recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a classroom in Dyrao village, part of Le Van Tam Primary and Secondary School in Kong Chro district, Gia Lai province.

Le Van Tam Primary and Secondary School currently has 20 classes with 490 students, 96% of whom are ethnic minorities. The school's Dyrao village branch is located in a particularly disadvantaged area, with 3 classrooms serving 62 primary school students, 100% of whom are Bahnar people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
According to Ms. Hoang Thi Minh, the school principal, one of the three classrooms was built nearly 20 years ago and is dilapidated and unsafe, especially during the rainy season.
With the desire to help students have a sturdy classroom and a stable and safe learning environment, VBI has provided funding for essential construction projects at Dyrao school, including: building a new classroom of approximately 50 m2, equipping it with 15 sets of desks and chairs, renovating a 60 m2 concrete playground, and other supporting facilities, with a total cost of approximately VND500 million.
This is just one of many community and social contribution activities in the field of education that VBI has organized annually for many years. Besides building schools, VBI also sponsors the construction of libraries, and donates books, equipment, and learning materials to students in disadvantaged areas.
Thanks to its nationwide network of member units, these activities are widely implemented in many provinces and cities, helping thousands of students have better learning conditions and access to knowledge.
VBI hopes that these contributions will not only help improve immediate learning conditions but also lay the foundation for long-term development. Each book, each set of desks and chairs, each warm coat donated is a "small brick" contributing to building the door to dreams and aspirations for the future generation of the country.
In addition to contributing to education, in response to the severe impact of storms and floods in many provinces and cities last year, the VBI Trade Union and Youth Union also organized programs to visit and support people and local authorities in affected areas such as Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai… These social responsibility activities were jointly carried out by the entire VBI system with a total value of over VND3 billion.
The company's leadership also directly visited and encouraged the families of employees in the affected areas. Each gift not only holds material value but also serves as a source of moral encouragement, helping flood victims gain more faith and hope to overcome this difficult period and quickly stabilize their lives.
Established in 2008, VBI, starting as a young enterprise, has gradually affirmed its position as a leading company through many outstanding results and achievements in its business operations. Notably, VBI has achieved top 3 positions among reputable non-life insurance companies in Vietnam (as announced by Vietnam Report in 2025), top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam for four consecutive years from 2022 to 2025, and top 2 Best Places to Work in Vietnam in the Insurance industry - Medium-sized Enterprises sector in 2025.
The efforts in protecting the health and finances of customers through insurance contracts, along with acts of sharing and mutual support carried out by the leadership and all employees of VBI over the past time, are proof of the company's mission as a solid foundation, preserving the value of life for a better future.
