Vietnam’s animal feed market saw price hikes in January 2026
Thursday, January 29,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - In January 2026, Vietnam’s animal feed market recorded a new round of price increases after a brief period of stability and slight declines. The hikes were higher than in previous years, reaching 1,200–1,500 dong per kg, depending on product type and market segment.
The price adjustments were mainly driven by rising and volatile input material costs. This marked the first feed price increase in 2026, following a prolonged downward trend during 2023–2024. From Jan. 1, 2026, many feed producers nationwide simultaneously raised selling prices, with increases commonly ranging from 100 to 300 dong per kg for livestock and poultry feed. Six companies applied a 200 dong per kg increase from that date, including products under the De Heus, Windmill, Koudijs, Anco and Proconco brands of De Heus Vietnam; all livestock and poultry feed products of Cargill Vietnam; Hoa Phat Dong Nai Feed Co.; Vietnam–France Nutrition JSC; and Vinafeed Northern Vietnam.
Taiwan International Nutrition JSC adjusted prices at multiple levels. The company raised prices by 300 dong per kg for several product lines including S16A, MOMI, M+1500, T602 and R710, while applying a 200 dong per kg increase to a broad range of other products. Meanwhile, K+2008 rose by 100 dong per kg, while K+2007 was reduced by 200 dong per kg.
From Jan. 2, 2026, four additional companies announced price hikes. Greenfeed Vietnam and USFEED both raised prices by 200 dong per kg. CNC International Nutrition JSC increased prices by 180 dong per kg for feed used for laying poultry and 200 dong per kg for other products. Viet Nhat Nutrition Technology JSC (Northern branch) raised prices by 100 dong per kg for feed for breeding livestock and poultry, and 200 dong per kg for meat-producing animals.
On Jan. 5, Hanoi Feed JSC increased prices by 200 dong per kg across all its products. Leong Hup Feedmill Vietnam was the only company to announce a later adjustment, raising prices by 200 dong per kg from Jan. 10 for pig and poultry feed under the Emivest and Gymtech brands.
According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Customs, Vietnam’s imports of animal feed and feed ingredients in December 2025 rose 23.3% month on month but fell 13.4% year on year to USD395.72 million. For the full year 2025, total imports reached USD4.58 billion, down 6.4% from 2024.

The United States ranked second, accounting for 18.8%, with imports totaling USD859.32 million, down 15.4% year on year. December imports from the U.S. surged 109.3% from November to USD123.39 million, though they were still 4.5% lower than a year earlier.
