Vietnamese men’s national football team moves to 110th in FIFA rankings
Friday, November 21,2025
AsemconnectVietnam - The Vietnamese men’s national football team climbed one spot to 110th in FIFA’s November rankings, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
FIFA released its latest rankings for men’s national teams earlier than scheduled to support preparations for the draw of the World Cup 2026 play-offs, held on the evening of November 20 (Vietnam time).
Due to the early release, some recent friendly and qualifying results were not included, including Vietnam’s 2–0 win over Laos, which has yet to be counted in the points calculation.
In Asia, Japan continues to lead the rankings, followed by Iran and the Republic of Korea. Vietnam ranks 20th in the region and retains second position in Southeast Asia, behind Thailand.
VFF said the rise in the rankings provides a boost as Vietnam prepares for upcoming assignments. The improvement not only reinforces Vietnam’s position in the region but also offers a positive signal for supporters as the team works to lift its performance, improve results and move toward longer-term goals./.
