Vietnam to promote trade, expand and diversify markets and export goods

AsemconnectVietnam - The Government issued Resolution No. 230/NQ-CP at the regular Government meeting in July of 2025 and the Government's online conference with localities.
Therein, the Government requested to promote trade promotion, expand and diversify markets, export goods and supply chains; maximize the exploitation of the domestic market; continue to strengthen the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
The ministries, agencies, and localities, according to their assigned functions, tasks, and powers, continue to implement solutions to expand and diversify markets, export products, and supply chains, especially for advantageous export products.
They also strengthen trade promotion, connect supply and demand, information, and support businesses to quickly and promptly respond to new standards of export markets.
In addition, the ministries, agencies, and localities should also promote the implementation of promotional programs, stimulate domestic consumption, effectively implement the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", create a movement and trend of using Vietnamese goods; promote support for businesses to introduce, promote, promote trade, and consume products on digital platforms and e-commerce.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade presides over and coordinates with agencies and localities to continue to proactively and actively coordinate with relevant agencies to implement trade negotiation plans with the United States. Urgently complete and submit to the Government before August 17, 2025 for consideration and promulgation of the Decree on strategic trade control.
In addition, the ministry also continue to closely coordinate with the Ministries of Finance, Health, Public Security, National Defense, agencies and localities to develop plans, regularly, continuously and effectively implement the work of combating and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality goods, intellectual property violations, especially for dairy products, medicines, food, etc.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Bank of Vietnam and relevant agencies to develop and submit to the Government for promulgation a Resolution on comprehensive solutions to promptly and effectively respond to the US tariff policy, to be completed before August 13, 2025.
The Ministries of Industry and Trade, Health, Agriculture and Environment, Finance and other ministries and specialized agencies shall tighten management of the implementation of regulations on food safety, traceability, and quality control of agricultural products right from the harvest stage, etc.; urgently resolve problems regarding regulations and conditions for import and export of goods according to recommendations of businesses and associations.
