Daily: Domestic coffee prices rose slightly on July 23, 2025

 Wednesday, July 23,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, domestic coffee prices in Vietnam ranged from 92,600 to 93,300 VND/kg on July 23, 2025.

An unexpected development prompted speculators to increase buying near the close of trading, resulting in strong gains on both major coffee exchanges. In addition, a sharp drop in the US dollar supported the rebound in coffee prices.
• In Di Linh, Lam Ha, and Bao Loc (Lam Dong province): 92,600 VND/kg
• In Cu M’gar (Dak Lak): 93,300 VND/kg
• In Ea H’leo, Buon Ho: 93,200 VND/kg
• In Dak Nong: 93,300 VND/kg (Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap: 93,200 VND/kg)
• In Gia Lai: 93,200 VND/kg (Chu Prong, Pleiku, La Grai)
• In Kon Tum (Quang Ngai province): 93,100 VND/kg
Domestic prices rose slightly compared to yesterday.
🌍 Global Market:
• London (Robusta)
o Sep 2025: ↑ $102 to $3,289/ton
o Nov 2025: ↑ $98 to $3,262/ton
• New York (Arabica)
o Sep 2025: ↑ 4.4 cents to 296.35 cents/lb
o Dec 2025: ↑ 3.8 cents to 288.7 cents/lb
According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, initial declines in Arabica led both exchanges down early in the session, but news of a potential cold snap in Brazil’s harvesting regions sparked strong buying at the close.
The US Dollar Index (DXY) also fell by 0.46% to 97.40, further supporting coffee prices.
However, Brazil’s ample supply continues to weigh on the market, with nearly 80% of its harvest complete, especially Robusta. Uncertainty over U.S. countervailing tariffs (set to take effect August 1) and potential retaliatory moves are adding market volatility.
Vietnamese coffee made its debut at ExpoCafé 2025, Chile’s largest coffee fair that ran from July 19–20 at the Espacio Riesco exhibition centre in Santiago.
The Vietnam booth, hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile, showcased a wide range of signature coffee products, including robusta, arabica, roasted ground coffee, instant coffee, drip bag coffee, coffee capsules, and other specialty items. Among these, robusta, primarily cultivated in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, stood out as a key strength due to the region’s unique climate and soil conditions.
Vietnam is currently the world’s second-largest coffee producer, with an annual output of around 2 million tonnes, accounting for 15–18% of global supply. Vietnamese coffee products are now present in more than 80 countries, including major markets such as Europe, the United States, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
