Domestique pepper prices on July 1, 2025: Sharp rebound, export prices also improve

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, domestic pepper prices range between VND136,000 – 138,000/kg on July 1, 2025 , rising by VND3,000 – 8,000/kg compared to Yesterday.

The International Pepper Community (IPC) has significantly raised Vietnam’s pepper export prices following a continuous rise in the domestic market.
Prices in specific regions:
  • Đắk Lắk: VND138,000/kg (↑VND5,000)
  • Đắk Nông (Lâm Đồng): VND138,000/kg (↑VND5,000)
  • Gia Lai: VND136,000/kg (↑VND5,000)
  • Đồng Nai: VND136,000/kg (↑VND5,000)
  • Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (HCMC): VND136,000/kg (↑VND3,000)
  • Bình Phước (Đồng Nai): VND136,000/kg (↑VND8,000)
Compared to yesterday morning, prices have jumped VND3,000 – 8,000/kg.
However, pepper prices fell by an average of VND8,000/kg in June 2025.
IPC Spot Export Prices (most recent session):
  • Black pepper (Lampung, Indonesia): USD7,529/tonne (↑0.01%)
  • Black pepper (Brazil ASTA 570): USD5,850/tonne
  • Black pepper (Kuching, Malaysia, ASTA): USD9,000/tonne
  • White pepper (Muntok): USD10,170/tonne (↑0.01%)
  • White pepper (Malaysia ASTA): USD11,750/tonne
Vietnamese Pepper Export Prices (IPC):
  • Black pepper 500 g/l: USD6,240/tonne (↑USD440 or 7.05%)
  • Black pepper 550 g/l: USD6,370/tonne (↑USD470 or 7.38%)
  • White pepper: USD8,950/tonne (↑USD150 or 1.68%)
Global Market Outlook (according to IPC):
  • Overall bearish trend.
  • U.S. market remains subdued due to volatile freight costs from the Iran-Israel conflict.
  • India’s domestic and export prices fell for two straight weeks.
  • Indonesian prices stayed stable.
  • Malaysia’s black pepper remained steady; other types trended down.
  • Sri Lanka's prices rebounded after three weeks of decline.
  • Brazil’s black pepper prices fell for the second consecutive week.
  • Cambodian and Chinese pepper prices were stable
