OCB targets pre-tax profit of VND5,338 billion in 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - The Board of Directors of Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB - HOSE) has just announced a resolution on the business plan for 2025, with pre-tax profit expected to reach VND5,338 billion, up 33% compared to the plan for 2024.
OCB has announced the closing of the list of shareholders to attend the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on March 20, 2025. The meeting is expected to be held on April 22, 2025.
In addition to the profit plan, OCB's Board of Directors also approved a number of business targets in 2025. Specifically, the Bank aims to increase total assets by 13% compared to the 2024 level, estimated at VND316,779 billion in 2025. Total mobilization and total outstanding market loans will increase by 14% and 16% to VND218,842 billion and VND208,472 billion, respectively; bad debt ratio is below 3%.
According to the 2024 consolidated audited financial report, OCB's total assets will reach VND280,712 billion, an increase of 16.9% compared to 2023. The Bank's outstanding credit balance continues to focus on two strategic customer groups: individuals and small and medium enterprises, with increases of 11.4% and 51.7% respectively over the same period last year.
As of December 31, 2024, green credit at OCB was also boosted, increasing by 30% compared to 2023. Market 1 mobilization reached VND192,413 billion, up 14.5% compared to 2023.
OCB's pre-tax profit in 2024 reached VND4,006 billion, down 3.2% compared to 2023. Recently, according to the report of the Securities Commission, Ms. Trinh Mai Linh (daughter of OCB Chairman Trinh Van Tuan) registered to sell 50 million OCB shares due to personal needs. The transaction can be negotiated or matched through the floor. The expected time is from March 21 to April 19. Currently, Ms. Mai Linh holds 105.3 million shares, equivalent to 4.27% of OCB's capital. If the transaction is successful, Ms. Linh will reduce her ownership ratio at the Bank to 2.24%.
At the same time, Ms. Trinh Mai Van, also the daughter of OCB's Chairman, registered with the Securities Commission to sell 45 million shares out of more than 92.3 million OCB shares, citing personal needs. After the transaction, Trinh Mai Van will reduce the ratio from 3.75% to 1.92% of OCB's capital.
According to the 2024 management report, Mr. Trinh Van Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCB, holds more than 109.3 million shares, equivalent to 4.43% of this bank's capital; and Ms. Cao Thi Que Anh, Mr. Tuan's wife, holds more than 79.2 million OCB shares, equivalent to 3.21% of capital. Meanwhile, according to the updated report on shareholders holding more than 1% of OCB's capital, Mr. Tuan and his related parties hold a total of nearly 20% of the Bank's capital.
On the institutional shareholder side, Aozora Bank holds 15% of OCB's capital, Pyn Elite Fund - a large foreign fund on the stock market - holds more than 2.4% of the Bank's capital.
