Revenue from Vinh Hoan's (VHC) main products decreased in January 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - Vinh Hoan Corporation (code VHC - HOSE) has just announced its business results for January 2025 with revenue reaching VND847 billion, down 8% compared to the same period last year, mainly due to the decrease in all main products.
Specifically, revenue from Vinh Hoan's main product, pangasius, decreased by 4% to VND430 billion. By-products decreased by 24% to VND134 billion; mixed products decreased by 6% to VND151 billion. In addition, revenue from Vinh Hoan's health care products and shrimp crackers decreased by 21% and 10% respectively compared to the same period, reaching VND59 billion and VND36 billion.
On the contrary, noodles and rice paper recorded strong growth of up to 60% but the value only reached VND26 billion; Value-added products also increased by 42%, reaching VND12 billion.
In terms of consumption markets, the domestic market still leads Vinh Hoan's revenue with VND274 billion, but down 16%. Next are export markets with the US reaching VND197 billion, up 6%; the European market ranked 3rd with a value of VND195 billion, up 27%. Notably, revenue from the Chinese market decreased by 45%, to only VND64 billion.
Looking back at the business results in 2024, Vinh Hoan recorded VND12,535 billion in net revenue, up 25% compared to the previous year; after-tax profit reached VND1,310 billion, up 34%.
In 2024, VHC plans to achieve consolidated revenue with a base level of VND10,700 billion and a high level of VND11,500 billion; consolidated net profit with the basic plan of VND800 billion, the high level reached VND1,000 billion. With the above results, Vinh Hoan has completed and exceeded the business targets set for the year.
Recently, Vinh Hoan has approved a loan from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) - Ho Chi Minh City Branch with a total limit of VND2,085 billion. Including a short-term credit limit of VND1,000 billion and a third-party guaranteed credit limit of VND1,085 billion.
Vinh Hoan said that the loan will be secured by the ownership of assets attached to land and land use rights at the Company's real estate.
