NCB (NVB) completes plan to double charter capital, up to nearly VND11,800 billion

AsemconnectVietnam - National Citizen Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB - stock code NVB) has just announced the resolution of the Board of Directors, approving the results of the private share offering to increase charter capital.

Accordingly, NCB has successfully issued 99.65% of the number of shares offered to domestic investors, equivalent to more than 617 million shares, with a par value of VND10,000/share. The end date of the issuance is November 26, 2024.
The issued shares are restricted from transfer for 01 year from the end date of the issuance. The total amount raised from this offering is more than VND6,178 billion.
After successfully issuing the above shares, the total number of outstanding voting shares of NCB increased to nearly 1,180 million shares, officially increasing the bank's charter capital to nearly VND11,800 billion.
NCB Bank plans to use all proceeds from this private share offering to supplement capital for business operations; technology and digital transformation; building brand identity and renovating and upgrading facilities.
Previously, in mid-June 2024, NCB finalized the list of 13 professional investors registering to participate in this offering, including 12 individuals and an investment fund. Of which, two bank leaders, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Huong - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Duong The Bang - Member of the Board of Directors of NCB - also registered to contribute capital. By the end of November 26, 2024, 12 individual investors had completed their capital contribution.
According to NCB representative, the increase in charter capital is an important factor that creates momentum for NCB's comprehensive and strong transformation process, towards the bank's strategic goals, aiming to build a new NCB that brings banking experiences through innovative and creative thinking, is the center of financial service innovation, pioneers in developing products and services on the most advanced technology platform, aiming to become a socially responsible bank, contributing to the sustainable development of the community that NCB serves.
The additional financial resources also demonstrate the bank's determination and strong actions in the comprehensive restructuring journey according to the Restructuring Plan approved by competent authorities, ensuring that the bank operates safely, healthily, effectively, meeting legal regulations and requirements of management agencies. At the same time, helping NCB affirm its increasingly high competitiveness in the market.
According to the roadmap, NCB will continue to increase capital and it is expected that NCB's charter capital will reach more than VND29,000 billion by 2028, in accordance with the PACCL approved by competent authorities, helping NCB consolidate financial resources, increase medium- and long-term capital to expand business operations, making NCB one of the prestigious, healthy, and effective banks, providing the best financial services and solutions on the market. It is known that 2023-2024 is identified by NCB as the period of building a solid foundation for a comprehensive transformation. The Bank is constantly improving its technology platform to serve the goal of comprehensive digitalization, investing in solutions, products, services, increasing value for customers and has worked with the world's leading strategic consulting organization to build and vigorously implement a new strategy for the period 2023 - 2028.
As of September 30, 2024, NCB has reached a customer base of more than 1.24 million customers, equal to 160% of the annual plan and a growth of 24.22% compared to the end of 2023.
NCB's total assets as of September 30, 2024 reached nearly VND108,900 billion. Compared to the target approved by the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders last April, NCB has completed 100% of the customer lending plan and exceeded the yearly plan for total assets and capital mobilization (103% and 110%, respectively) after only 9 months.
