AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 9 months of the year, Sao Ta Food JSC's (code FMC) sales are estimated at nearly USD187 million, completing 89% of this year's revenue target.

In September, Sao Ta's finished shrimp production reached 2,309 tons, down slightly over the same period last year. Finished shrimp consumption output reached 2,638 tons, up 47% over the same period last year.
In addition, finished agricultural product production reached 77 tons, down 10% over the same period and finished agricultural product consumption output reached 126 tons, down 2% over the same period.
Overall, Sao Ta's September 2024 sales reached USD30.16 million, up 48.5% compared to September 2023 but down slightly compared to the previous month (USD30.38 million).
Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, Sao Ta's sales are estimated to reach nearly USD187 million, equivalent to VND4,510 billion (calculated at the current exchange rate). In 2024, Sao Ta plans to reach USD210 million in sales. Thus, the above results have helped the Company achieve 89% of its set target.
By the end of September, Sao Ta's farms were in the process of renovating ponds, preparing the best conditions for the new stocking season.
According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, in the first 9 months of the year, shrimp exports led in seafood export turnover, with nearly USD2.8 billion, up 10.5% over the same period in 2023. Although frozen shrimp prices have not yet recovered significantly and are competing with shrimp from Ecuador and India, Vietnam's processed shrimp still holds a solid position in the market. It is expected that by the end of 2024, shrimp exports of Vietnamese enterprises will reach nearly USD4 billion.
