AsemconnectVietnam - After the selection period, finally Package 4.7 "Construction & installation of equipment for aircraft parking facilities, passenger terminals and other works" of Component Project 3, Long Thanh airport has found a contractor to implement.

On September 11, 2024, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) signed Decision No. 3828/QD - TCTCHKVN approving the results of the contractor selection for Package 4.7 "Construction & installation of equipment for aircraft parking facilities, passenger terminals and other works" of Component Project 3 of the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1.
Accordingly, the winning contractor is the consortium of ACC Aviation Construction Corporation - Truong Son Construction Corporation - Export Import Joint Stock Corporation Import and Construction Vietnam - Vietnam Construction Investment Development Joint Stock Company - Cienco4 Group Joint Stock Company - Six Four Seven Aviation Construction Joint Stock Company.
The winning bid price is VND6,267.991 billion (package price VND6,368.224 billion), achieving a savings rate of 1.6%; the contract implementation period is 23 months. The above period does not include force majeure and contract implementation period extension (if any). Contract type is fixed unit price and adjustable unit price.
Previously, reporting to the National Assembly delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to inspect the construction progress of Long Thanh Airport, ACV leaders said that currently, the main bid packages of the Long Thanh Airport Project are being constructed on schedule.
In particular, package 5.10 (construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment) has an overall progress of 10 days ahead of the contract. The progress of the terminal's rough construction is 20 days ahead of the contract.
For package 4.6 (runway; aircraft parking; parking for ground service vehicles), it is expected to be completed before April 30, 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 3 months ahead of the contract. The airport is expected to receive its first commercial flight on September 2, 2026.
