SSI tobe granted a certificate to issue more than 453 million shares to the public
Friday, September 13,2024AsemconnectVietnam - SSI Securities Corporation (SSI - HOSE) has just received a certificate of registration to offer 453 million shares to increase its charter capital from VND15,111 billion to nearly VND19,645 billion.
Specifically, the Company will issue more than 302.2 million bonus shares to increase capital; at a ratio of 100:20 (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 20 new shares). These shares will not be subject to transfer restrictions.
The source of capital for issuing bonus shares is from undistributed profit after tax, capital surplus, development investment fund, other funds (if any) according to the company's most recent audited financial statements.
At the same time, SSI will also offer more than 151 million shares to existing shareholders, at a selling price of VND 15,000/share. The exercise ratio is 100:10, or 10% (shareholders owning 100 shares have the right to buy 10 new shares). These shares are also not subject to transfer restrictions.
The distribution time is within 90 minutes from the effective date of the Certificate of Registration for Offering (August 28).
According to the issuance plan stated in the prospectus, if successful, the mobilized capital of nearly VND5,300 billion will be used by SSI to supplement capital for margin trading loans and invest in bonds, deposit certificates and other valuable papers at the rate decided by the Board of Directors.
Regarding business activities, according to the newly announced consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2024, SSI recorded revenue of VND2,307 billion and pre-tax profit of approximately VND1,060 billion in the second quarter, up 37.3% and 50% respectively compared to the same period in 2023. This is the highest profit level in 10 quarters of this securities company.
Accumulated in the first 6 months of the year, SSI achieved VND4,280 billion in total consolidated revenue and pre-tax profit of more than VND2,002 billion, up 35% and 51.2% respectively compared to the first half of 2023.
Thus, with the 2024 plan of VND8,112 billion in revenue and VND3,398 billion in pre-tax profit, at the end of the first half of the year, SSI Securities has completed 52.76% and 58.92% of the set targets.
