Nam A Bank (NAB): 6-month profit expected to exceed 50% of the yearly plan

AsemconnectVietnam - On July 12, Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank, code NAB - HOSE) will finalize the list of shareholders to issue shares to increase share capital from equity sources. Profit in the first 6 months of the year is expected to reach a new peak, exceeding 50% of the yearly plan.

Accordingly, Nam A Bank will issue shares to pay dividends at a rate of 25%, charter capital will increase by VND2,654 billion. The release source is undistributed profits in 2023 (after funds have been deducted) and undistributed profits from previous years.
For ESOP, Nam A Bank is expected to issue 50 million shares, charter capital increased by VND500 billion. The issuer is the bank's employees; the expected offering price is 10,000 VND/share.
On the stock market, closing the trading session on July 3, NAB shares stood at the price of 16,300 VND/share.
In the short term, NAB stock continues to move above the trendline (this is considered an uptrend in the short term), the RSI indicator adjusted to the oversold area and is pointing up, signaling a new price uptrend.
Regarding business activities, NAB's profit is expected to reach a new peak in the first 6 months of 2024 and exceed 50% of the year's profit plan (Nam A Bank's 2024 profit plan is VND4,000 billion).
On July 15, the HOSE-Index, VNX-Index and investment indices including VNDiamond, VNFin Lead and VNFIN Select will announce the component list for the third quarter of 2024. Relevant ETFs will need to restructure their portfolios with the deadline being August 2. These sets of indicators will take effect from August 5.
For the VNFIN Lead index, SSI forecasts that 3 stocks VIX, SSB and NAB may be added to the index this period, on the contrary, no stocks will be removed.
Assuming the above changes, the index portfolio will include 23 stocks. As of June 28, the SSIAM VNFIN Lead ETF fund had a total asset value of about VND681 billion. Specifically, the total value of fund assets decreased by 70.4% compared to the beginning of the year, NAV increased by 11.5%, and the fund had a net withdrawal of nearly VND1,865 billion.
With the above forecast, the analysis team estimates that the SSIAM VNFinLead ETF will buy about 957,000 new VIX shares, 162,000 SSB shares and 67,000 NAB shares.
