Sabeco (SAB) increased revenue by 15.6% in Q1/2024

AsemconnectVietnam - In the context of many difficulties in the beverage industry, along with fierce competition among competitors, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (Sabeco, code SAB - HOSE) continues to maintain its profit margin in 2024.

ThaiBev leaders once affirmed that Sabeco is a 'precious gem', a rare asset in Southeast Asia. That belief is further reinforced when in 2024, SAB is confident with the "golden opportunity" to bring revenue and 2024 profits grow, continue to pay dividends at a rate of 35%.
In 2024, Sabeco plans a revenue of VND34,397 billion, a growth of 12.9%; Expected profit after tax is VND4,580 billion, an increase of 7.6% compared to implementation in 2023.
Particularly in the first quarter of 2024, Sabeco recorded revenue of VND7,183.5 billion, an increase of 15.6%; Profit after tax was VND1,023.7 billion, up 2% over the same period last year and completing 22.4% of the year's plan. In particular, with business cash flow continuing to generate an additional VND376.5 billion, by the end of the first quarter of 2024, Sabeco still owns a cash fund of up to VND21,415.6 billion, accounting for 66.6% of total assets.
Mirae Asset Securities Company (MAS) has just commented in its SAB code report that "Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SAB) is the leading beverage group in Vietnam, with market share 2nd largest in the domestic market. With a history of nearly 150 years, SAB owns many strong brands such as Saigon Special, 333, Saigon Lager. The company has an extensive distribution system through subsidiaries across the country. After the divestment in 2018, SAB is gradually improving operating efficiency and profit margins.”
“The company has also introduced a number of new brands such as Saigon Chill and Saigon Gold in the mid-high-end segment. We believe that SAB is a potential investment thanks to its solid market share and large product portfolio,” the report said.

Sabeco aims to maintain the domestic market and reach the international market; Promote research and development to improve product quality and launch new product lines; Apply digitalization 4.0 in management and business for the entire system.
In addition, businesses will focus on reforms to increase investment efficiency and reduce operating costs to increase productivity; Focus on developing modern trade channels, online sales channels, take-away and on-site consumption channels following global trends; Build a solar energy system to improve electricity supply in a cost-effective and highly effective way.
