AsemconnectVietnam - According to the data just released by the Hanoi Statistics Department, in the first 4 months of 2024, Hanoi City has attracted 1.132 billion USD of FDI capital.

Of which, 73 new projects were registered with a capital of 1,008 million USD; 47 projects were the added investment capital with 79 million USD and the number of foreign investors that contributed capital and bought shares were 65 with 45 million USD.
In April of 2024 alone, Hanoi City had 20 newly licensed FDI projects with a total registered capital of 103.9 million USD; 14 projects were adjusted to increase investment capital with 57.4 million USD; there were 27 foreign investors contributing capital and buying shares, with the total capital of 15.5 million USD.
Also in April, Hanoi City issued certificates to 2,514 newly established businesses, down by 4% over the same period of 2023; the registered capital reached 25.6 trillion VND, an increase of 24%. There are 758 re-operating businesses, an increase of 14%; there were 1,878 businesses registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 16% and 269 businesses dissolved, a decrease of 13%.
In the first 4 months of 2024, Hanoi City has issued certificates to 9,400 newly established businesses with registered capital of 97.6 trillion VND, a 6% decrease in the number of businesses and a 9% increase in capital registration compared to the same period of 2023.
There are 4,500 re-operating businesses, an increase of 10%; more than 14,200 businesses registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 24% and 1,400 businesses dissolved, an increase of 12%. The rate of online business registration documents is maintained at 100%, ensuring quality and timeliness.
