The leading product in export turnover in 2023 is a group of all kinds of phones and components, reaching more than 1.31 billion USD, up 15.9% over the same period last year, accounting for 20.7% billion USD. The next is the group of other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, reaching 1.03 billion USD, an increase of 21%, accounting for 16.2% of export proportion. The following is footwear of all kinds reaching 795.1 million USD, an increase of 3.9%, accounting for 12.5% of proportion.
In 2023, a number of products will have a significant increase in export turnover comparing to the previous year: Paper and paper products increased by 71.1%; rubber products increased by 61.4%; electric wires and cables increased by 60.5%.
After more than 2 years of implementing Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKVFTA), the British market has seen more positive image of Vietnamese businesses and Vietnamese products through amount of goods imported from Vietnam increased sharply.
To be able to take more effective advantage of opportunities brought by Vietnam-UK Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA), Vietnamese businesses need to ensure that their products and production processes meet British standards.
