AsemconnectVietnam - Currently, Malaysia is one of Vietnam's export markets with great potential in the ASEAN region.

Vietnam's main export products to the Malaysian market include machinery, equipment and spare parts; computer; electronics and components; steels; petroleum, and chemicals.
According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of goods to the Malaysian market in the first 11 months of 2023 reached 4.45 billion USD, down by 13.7% over the same period last year.
Leading the group of export products in the first 11 months of 2023 was the group of the following products: computers, electronic products and components reaching 585.7 million USD, down by 46.9%, accounting for 13.1% of export proportion; chemical products reached 556.1 million USD, an increase of 55.6%, accounting for 12.4% of the proportion.
In the first 11 months of 2023, some products saw export growth compared to the same period last year: animal feed increased by 30.2%; clinker and cement increased by 50.7%; cassava and products from cassava 83.3%.
