AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the UK market in November of 2023 reached 588.7 million USD, an increase of 10.1% compared to the previous month.

Overall, the first 11 months of the year, the country’s total exports to the UK reached more than 5.8 billion USD, up by 3.02% over the same period last year.
The leading product in export turnover in the first 11 months of 2023 was the group of all kinds of phones and components, reaching more than 1.28 billion USD, up by 19.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 22,1% of the export proportion. The next was the group of other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, reaching 925.7 million USD, an increase of 17.1%, accounting for 15.9% of the export proportion. And then was footwear of all kinds, reaching 718.3 million USD, an increase of 2.1%, accounting for 12.8% of the proportion.
In the first 11 months of 2023, a number of products have increased export turnover compared to the same period last year, such as paper and paper products increased by 65.8%; rubber products increased by 64.9%; electric wires and cables increased by 59.4%.
After more than 2 years of implementing the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKVFTA), the British market has seen more positively the image of Vietnamese businesses and Vietnamese products through the amount of goods imported from Vietnam increased sharply.
To be able to take more effective advantage of the opportunities brought by the Vietnam-UK Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA), Vietnamese businesses need to ensure that their products and production processes meet British standards.
