Export turnover to US reach 87.8 billion USD in first 11 months of 2023
Thursday, December 21,2023AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the US market in 11 months of 2023 reached 87.8 billion USD, down by 13.29.3% over the same period last year.
Currently, more than half of Vietnam's export value to the US is high-tech products (consumer electronics, smart phones), garments and footwear, the rest is other products, such as furniture and agricultural products.
In the first 11 months of 2023, leading export turnover was the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 16.4 billion USD, down by 11.2%, accounting for 18.7% of the total export proportion. The next was the group of computers, electronic products and components, reaching 15.1 billion USD, an increase of 4.2%, accounting for 17.2% of the export proportion. And then textiles and garments, reaching 13.1 billion USD, accounting for 14.9% of the total export proportion.
The items with increased export turnover in 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period last year included cameras, camcorders and components increased by 29.3%; paper and paper products increased by 14.3%: rice increased by 49.2%; glass and glass products increased by 21.2%.
The US is currently leading Vietnam's export markets. And Vietnam has become a major trading partner of the US and an important link in the supply chain of many goods for the US market.
Among Vietnam's exports to the US, agricultural products, aquatic products, furniture, decorations, etc. occupy a very important position because these are strong product groups of Vietnam and the US that have great demand.
