DAILY: Vietnamese pepper prices remained unchanged on September 21

AsemconnectVietnam - On Thursday, domestic pepper prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands remained unchanged at VND70,000 to VND72,500 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.vn.

In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the maximum price for pepper stayed at VND72,500 per kg, while in Gia Lai province, the lowest price to VND70,000 per kg. Farmers in Binh Phuoc sold pepper for VND72,000 per kilogram, in Dong Nai province for VND70,500 per kilogram, and in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces for VND71,000 per kilogram.
According to the announcement of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, Vietnam’s pepper output in 2023 is estimated to reach about 190,000 tonnes, an increase of 3.8% compared to 2022.
The Institute of Agricultural Planning and Design informed at the Conference to evaluate the current status and development orientation of pepper plants to 2030 held in June 2023, currently about 94% of the area, 97% of the total pepper production  focuses on two key production regions: the Southeast and the Central Highlands.
