AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, the value of goods imported from U.A.E into Vietnam reached nearly 410.52 million USD in the first seven months of 2023, a sharp increase of 64.92% over the same period of 2022.

Particularly in July of 2023, the turnover increased by 73.85% compared to June 2023, reaching nearly 61.66 million USD and also increased by 37.84% compared to July of 2022.
In contrast, the exports of goods to the U.A.E market in the first 7 months of this year reached 2.23 billion USD, down by 12.72% compared to the same period of 2022. Thus, Vietnam's trade surplus to the U.A.E market reached 1.82 billion USD, down by 21.1% over the same period of 2022.
The group of goods imported the most from the U.A.E market in the first 7 months of 2023 was liquefied petroleum gas, accounting for 44% of the total import turnover of goods from this market, reaching over 180.66 million USD. The figure of July of 2023 alone reached 25.39 million USD.
Behind the main group of liquefied petroleum gas was the group of plastic materials with 100.42 million USD, accounting for 24.46% of the total turnover, down by 14.24%. The next was the group of petroleum products with over 34.1 million USD, accounting for 8.31% of the total turnover, a very strong increase of 57%. In contrast, the imports of animal feed and raw materials fell sharply by 29.5%, reaching 15.97 million USD, accounting for 3.89%.
