Viettel Post (VTP) spends VND130 billion in cash to pay dividends in 2022
Wednesday, July 12,2023AsemconnectVietnam - On July 4, the Board of Directors of Viettel Post Joint Stock Company - Viettel Post (VTP - UPCoM) approved the Resolution on the dividend payment plan in 2022.
Specifically, according to the profit distribution plan for 2022 approved by the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Viettel Post will pay a cash dividend to shareholders at the rate of 11.5%/share (1 share gets VND1,150) and 7.61% in shares. The total dividend payout ratio in 2022 is 19.11%.
Regarding the dividend payment at the rate of 11.5% in cash, Viettel Post needs to spend more than VND130 billion for this dividend payment. Payment is expected in the third quarter of 2023.
For the payment of dividends in 2022 by shares and the issuance of shares to increase share capital, based on the proportion of rights allocation approved by the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the expected number of shares issued is 8,612,545 shares (calculated according to the current number of shares of Viettel Post is 113,174,057 shares) with par value of VND10,000/share.
Share dividend payout ratio is 7.61%. Accordingly, shareholders who own 10,000 shares at the closing date of the list of shareholders to receive dividends will receive 761 new shares.
Issued shares are common shares and can be freely transferred by shareholders. Existing shareholders named in the list of shareholders as of the last registration date are entitled to receive dividends in shares. This is also expected to be implemented in the third quarter of 2023, after the SSC approved the issuance plan.
In the second quarter of 2023, the share price of VTP has increased continuously. In the trading session on July 5, VTP shares had a market price of 41,500 dong/share, an increase of more than 47% compared to the market price at the beginning of the year. In recent years, the delivery and logistics industry has received special attention from investors. VTP shares belong to the group of potential delivery and logistics businesses that are expected to grow steadily.
