9,000 cars imported in June
Friday, July 14,2023AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s imports of CBU cars tend to increase again, according to the preliminary statistics figures just announced by the General Department of Customs.
Specifically, in June, the whole country imported 9,006 cars, with a total turnover of nearly 250 million USD, up by 18.4% in volume and 30.7% in turnover compared to May of 2023.
In June, Indonesia led the market share in volume with 3,965 vehicles, with a turnover of 55.4 million USD, accounting for 44% in volume and 22.16% in import turnover of the country.
Thailand was the market with the second largest import volume with 2,351 vehicles, but led in turnover with 63.75 million USD. The Chinese market ranked third with 1,340 vehicles, and the turnover of 53.25 million USD.
In the first 6 months of the year, the whole country imported 70,915 CBU cars, with a total turnover of 1.65 billion USD, up by 11.4% in volume and 5.2% in turnover over the same period of 2022.
Thailand, Indonesia and China were also the top 3 names in terms of imported cars with the results of 32,373 vehicles, 25,979 vehicles and 5,849 vehicles, respectively.
With 64,201 vehicles, the three markets mentioned above in Asia alone accounted for 90.5% of the country's total automobile imports in the first 6 months of the year.
