Fertilizer exports fell by 46.6% in turnover in first 2 months of 2023
Thursday, March 30,2023AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 2 months of 2023, Vietnam exported nearly 278,274 tonnes of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to 128.97 million USD, with an average price of 463.5 USD/tonne.
According to the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, in the first 2 months of 2023, the whole country exported nearly 278,274 tonnes of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to 128.97 million USD, the average price was 463.5 USD/tonne, down by 21% in volume, down by 46.6% in turnover and 32.4% in price compared to the first two months of 2022.
Particularly in February of 2023, the country exported 151,045 tonnes of fertilizers of all kinds, reaching 65.04 million USD, priced at 430.6 USD/tonne, up by 18.7% in volume, up by 1.8% in turnover but down by 14.3 % in price compared to January of 2023. In comparison to February of 2022, it also increased by 17.9% in volume, but decreased by 8.8% in turnover and decreased by 22.7% in price.
Cambodia was the leading fertilizer import market of Vietnam, accounted for 22% of the total volume and 22.9% of the country's total fertilizer export turnover, reaching 61,369 tonnes, equivalent to 29.58 million USD, the average price was 482 USD/tonne, an increase of over 15% in both volume and turnover, the price also increased slightly by 0.2% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2022. Particularly in February of 2023, the exports of fertilizer to this market decreased by 15.5% in volume, decreased by 20.1% in turnover and decreased by 5.5% in price compared to January of 2023, reaching 28,111 tonnes, equivalent to 13.13 million USD.
It was followed by South Korea with 40,129 tonnes, equivalent to 15.4 million USD, average price was 383.8 USD/tonne, a sharp increase of 91.2% in volume, down by 6.8. % turnover and 51% decrease in price, accounting for 14.4% of the total volume and 11.9% of the total fertilizer export turnover of the country.
The exports to the Malaysian market reached 19,885 tonnes, equivalent to 6.21 million USD, the average price was 312.3 USD/tonne, up by 45% in volume but down by 2.9% in turnover and down by 33% in price, accounting for 7.7% of the total volume and 4.8% of the total turnover.
The exports to Myanmar market reached 7,115 tonnes, equivalent to 5.71 million USD, the average price was 803.2 USD/tonne, down by 35.8% in volume and 23.9% in turnover, but the price increased by 18.6 %, accounting for over 2.6% of the total volume and 4.4% of the total turnover.
