Top badminton player ranks second at Thailand International Challenge
Wednesday, March 15,2023AsemconnectVietnam - Nguyen Thuy Linh, Vietnam's top female badminton player, ranked second after losing out 2-0 to her Japanese opponent Asuka Takahashi in the final match of the Thailand International Challenge 2023 on March 12.
At the tournament, Linh was the top seeded in the women’s singles.
To reach the final, Linh defeated several strong opponents, including Indonesia's Stephanie Widjaja and Thailand’s Pitchamon Opatniputh.
In the world rankings, Takahashi was ranked only 94th, 45 places behind the Vietnamese girl.
Thailand International Challenge 2023 was a big test for Thuy Linh before she shows her strength at upcoming Challenge Vietnam 2023.
The event ran from March 7-12 at Terminal Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, attracting the participation of more than 200 athletes competing in five catergories, including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles./.
