Import and export surpassed 700 billion USD mark

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the data released by the Customs Department on October 20, 2025, by mid-October 2025, Vietnam's import and export turnover had surpassed 700 billion USD.
Leading the way were computers, electronic products and components reaching 4.39 billion USD.
It was followed by the following commodity groups: machinery, equipment, spare parts reaching 2.42 billion USD; phones and components reaching 2.4 billion USD; textiles and garments reaching 1.49 billion USD.
In addition, many commodity groups reached hundreds of millions of USD in turnover, such as footwear; means of transport and spare parts; wood and wood products; seafood; vegetables and fruits.
As from the beginning of the year to October 15, the total export turnover reached 368.13 billion USD, an increase of 16.14% over the same period of 2024.
On the contrary, the import turnover in the first half of October reached 18.69 billion USD.
In which, there are two groups of goods with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more, including: computers, electronic products and components reaching 6.19 billion USD; machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts reaching 2.56 billion USD.
From the beginning of the year to October 15, the country's import turnover reached 350.72 billion USD, an increase of 18.67%.
Thus, from the beginning of the year to October 15, the total import-export turnover of the country reached 718.85 billion USD, the trade balance surplus was 17.41 billion USD.
With the results achieved and the scale of turnover in recent months, the possibility of import-export turnover in 2025 reaching and exceeding the 900 billion USD mark.
