Exports to Sri Lanka reached 225.4 million USD in 10 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures of the Vietnam Customs Department, the export turnover of goods to the Sri Lankan market in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 225.4 million USD, an increase of 31.4% over the same period last year.

Vietnam exported the following items to Sri Lanka: phones of all kinds and components; textiles; textile fibers and yarns of all kinds; rubber; plastic materials; computers, electronic products and components, etc. In which, the highest export value in the first 10 months of 2025 was textiles and yarns reaching 43.1 million USD, up by 8%, accounting for 19.1% of the proportion; followed by the group of textile fibers and yarns of all kinds reaching 27.7 million USD, up by 3.6%, accounting for 12.3% of the export proportion.
In the first 10 months of 2025, the export turnover grew the most in the group of computers, electronic products and components, increasing by 115.2%. The two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Sri Lanka has been approximately 300 million USD/year recently. Sri Lanka currently has about 30 investment projects worth more than 42 million USD in Vietnam. The economic relationship between the two countries still has a lot of untapped potential, especially in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, tourism and education.
