Vientiane art show marks Hanoi liberation
Thursday, October 10,2019AsemconnectVietnam - A cultural and art exchange programme named “Ha Noi – Mot trai tim hong” (Hanoi – a Red Heart) took place in Vientiane, Laos on October 9 night to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Vietnamese capital city’s liberation (October 10, 1954).

The event was held by the Lao Department of Performing Arts in partnership with the Vietnamese Culture Centre in Laos, the Vientaine Department of Information, Culture and Tourism, and the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane.
Lao Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Buangeun Saphouvong, who is also Vice President of the Laos – Vietnam Friendship Association, was in the audience.
The programme allowed Lao people to understand more about Vietnam’s history, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and cooperation between the two countries’ Parties, States and people.
It featured music, dancing and circus performances by both professional and amateur artists from Laos.
It also raised funds for Lao and Vietnamese people severely hit by floods in six central and southern provinces in Laos./.
