Exports of electric wires and cables reached nearly US$1.42 billion
Thursday, December 13,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Electric wires and cables posted export turnover of nearly US$1.42 billion in the first 10 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 30 per cent, according to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
China was the country’s biggest export market of electric wires and cables in the first ten months of this year with turnover of $530.79 million, an increase of 39.13 per cent over the same period last year, accounting for 37.14 per cent of total export turnover.
The second largest market was Japan with turnover of $278.5 million, an increase of 21.46 per cent over the same period last year.
The South East Asia ranked third with $203.81 million, up by 31.18 per cent and over the same period in 2017.
In the first ten months of this year, the country’s exports of electric wires and cables to Australia increased sharply by 3.9 times or 289.03 per cent over the same period last year; while the exports to Britain decreased by 26.39 per cent to $4.67 million.
