Hoa Phat Agriculture reports VND948 billion profit after 9 months, achieving 94% of its annual plan

 Monday, November 9,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - In Q3/2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture (HPA) achieved consolidated revenue of VND1,685 billion and after-tax profit of VND300 billion, representing decreases of 19% and 16% respectively compared to the same period in 2025.

For the first 9 months of 2026, HPA recorded a profit of VND948 billion, achieving 94% of its annual after-tax profit plan. Pig farming was the main driver, contributing the largest share to HPA's revenue and profit.
The decrease in quarterly revenue compared to the same period in 2025 was mainly due to a decrease in the volume of pigs and cattle sold. However, compared to Q2, revenue still increased by 8%, thanks to increases in the volume of pigs sold, animal feed, and chicken eggs. The core business segments continued to perform well, helping HPA's gross profit margin reach 25% in Q3 and the first nine months. Net profit margin reached 18% in Q3, higher than the 17% of the same period in 2025, and 19% in the first nine months.
In Q3/2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture (HPA) consumed nearly 98,000 tons of animal feed, sold over 151,000 pigs, and supplied over 87 million chicken eggs to the market. Compared to Q2, feed production increased by nearly 8%, the number of pigs sold increased by 47%, and egg production increased by more than 1%.
Regarding pig farming, total sales in Q3 reached over 151,000 pigs, a 47% increase compared to Q2. Of these, commercial market pigs reached nearly 107,000, a 41% increase. Over 44,000 pigs were weaned, a 67% increase; and over 400 gilts were raised. HPA operates 8 farms with a breeding herd of 25,000 sows, proactively sourcing 100% of its DanBred breeding stock from grandparent and parent to marketable size. Reproductive productivity reached 33-34 weaned piglets/sow/year, 1.5 times the industry average.
Chicken egg production in the third quarter reached over 87 million eggs, an increase of nearly 5% compared to the same period in 2025 and over 1% compared to the second quarter. On average, nearly one million eggs are supplied to the market daily through traditional channels, supermarkets, food factories, hotels, schools, and exports. HPA holds the number one market share for clean chicken eggs in the Northern region.
In cattle farming, Hoa Phat operates three farms in Hung Yen, Quang Tri, and Dong Nai. Besides Australian cattle, the company is expanding its supply sources with Thai and domestic cattle, proactively securing supplies to meet the diverse needs of the market. With Thai cattle, Hoa Phat is implementing livestock standards similar to Australia's ESCAS standard, one of the world's strictest standards.
In the first nine months of 2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture consumed over 274,000 tons of animal feed. Of this, over 143,000 tons were distributed to the market, an increase of nearly 11%, with the remainder supplied to internal farms. The total number of pigs sold in the nine months reached over 365,000, including nearly 247,000 commercial market pigs, nearly 117,000 weaned piglets, and nearly 1,600 gilts. Egg production in the nine months reached nearly 258 million eggs, an increase of nearly 3% compared to the same period.
In 2026, Hoa Phat Agriculture plans to achieve revenue of VND7,200 billion and after-tax profit of VND1,005 billion, with a focus on expanding pig farming and increasing animal feed production. Amid rising raw material prices and persistently high borrowing interest rates, the company is concentrating on stabilizing production and reducing costs to enhance competitiveness.
