Monday, October 26,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - By 2075, Da Nang is envisioned as an ecological, modern, smart and globally connected coastal city, ranking among Asia’s leading cities with distinctive identities and gradually meeting the criteria for a special-class urban center.
The Government has approved a master plan for the development of Da Nang City through 2050, with a vision to 2045.
Under the plan, by 2050, Da Nang is expected to serve as a major national growth pole and a national and regional hub for startups, innovation, logistics, the marine economy, trade, finance, free trade, science and technology, digital transformation, digital economy, data, tourism and heritage, culture and sports, education and training, and high-quality healthcare.
The central city will pursue green growth and climate change adaptation while ensuring national defense, security and sovereignty over its sea and islands.
Da Nang aims to become a hub for free trade, finance, culture and international events, as well as a center for connecting and promoting World Heritage values.
It will also serve as an international cargo transshipment and transport hub through its seaport and airport systems, and as an important gateway to the sea for the Greater Mekong Subregion, connecting it with ASEAN and the wider world.
National and international-level commercial centers, international exhibition and convention centers, commercial and financial streets, and the Da Nang Free Trade Zone linked to major transport hubs will be formed.
The city will also develop a wholesale agricultural market serving the Central and Central Highlands regions, alongside a logistics center connected to the wholesale market in Thang Binh Commune, covering approximately 130 hectares.
In addition, the Viet Nam International Financial Center in Da Nang will be developed in conjunction with an innovation and digital technology ecosystem, covering approximately 300–320 hectares./.
