AsemconnectVietnam - The funds were transferred from the purpose of contributing capital to the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan expressway project to repay the principal of bonds due in October 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Corporation (CII, ticker CII) has adjusted its plan for using 300 billion VND raised from the issuance of convertible bonds CII425002, from the purpose of contributing capital to the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan expressway project to repaying the principal of bonds due in October 2026.
According to a report published on October 12th, CII raised VND2,500 billion from the issuance of 25 million convertible bonds CII425002, with a face value of 100,000 VND/bond. The offering period ends on June 25, 2026.
Before the adjustment, the company planned to use VND1,151 billion to contribute capital to Saigon – My Thuan Expressway BOT Company Limited, the project company investing in the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan expressway; VND300 billion to contribute capital to CII Investment and Trading Company Limited (CII Invest); and VND1,049 billion for business cooperation with the project company implementing this expressway.
After the adjustment, the capital contribution to the project company decreased to VND851 billion, while VND300 billion was transferred to pay for CIIB2426001 bonds, issued on October 14, 2024 and maturing on October 14, 2026.
The VND300 billion capital contribution to CII Invest and the VND1,049 billion business cooperation for the expressway project remain unchanged, with the total allocated capital remaining at VND2,500 billion.
CII stated that the adjustment aims to optimize capital utilization efficiency, based on the project's implementation status and progress in contributing capital to the project enterprise.
The VND300 billion was repurposed to proactively balance capital sources while awaiting capital contributions according to the project's progress, and to ensure full and timely fulfillment of payment obligations to holders of CIIB2426001 bonds.
According to the company, the change in capital use does not affect the funding, implementation progress, or execution of the expressway project. The remaining capital will continue to be used to contribute capital to the project enterprise according to the actual progress.
According to the consolidated financial report for the first six months of 2026, CII recorded net revenue of approximately VND1,585.5 billion, an increase of 11.1% compared to the same period last year. However, after-tax profit reached approximately VND96 billion, a decrease of 48.1%.
