Nam A Bank (NAB): Pre-tax profit reaches over VND4,700 billion in 9 months

AsemconnectVietnam - Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank – HOSE: NAB) announced its business results for the first 9 months of 2026, with pre-tax profit reaching over VND4,700 billion, an increase of 25%; total assets approaching VND465,000 billion.
Specifically, in the first 9 months of the year, Nam A Bank's pre-tax profit (PTP) reached over VND4,700 billion, an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year; ROE reached nearly 20%.
Non-interest income continued to contribute 26% to total operating income. Notably, the securities trading segment grew by 30% compared to the same period last year, contributing 5% to PTP.
The non-performing loan ratio (before CIC) as of September 30, 2026, decreased to around 1.5%, a sharp reduction of 1.1 percentage points compared to the same period in 2025. The ratio of Group 2 loans was also controlled at a very low level of 0.6%. Meanwhile, the non-performing loan coverage ratio increased by 12.6 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
By the end of September, Nam A Bank's capital adequacy ratio (CAR) reached 11.3%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the end of 2025 and far exceeding the minimum level of 8%.
By September 30, 2026, total assets are approaching VND465,000 billion. Funds mobilized from economic organizations, individuals, and through the issuance of securities reached nearly VND254,000 billion, an increase of nearly 20% compared to the end of 2025.
The investment securities portfolio reached nearly VND48,700 billion, an increase of 21.5%, of which government bonds reached nearly VND32,600 billion, an increase of over 31% compared to the beginning of the year. This portfolio contributes to enhancing flexibility in capital management, while creating more room for the Bank to proactively balance liquidity and meet the capital needs of customers.
Total outstanding credit increased by 10.8% compared to the beginning of the year. Credit growth continues to be oriented towards the capital needs of the economy, while ensuring a balance between expanding scale, asset quality, and safety indicators. Credit is flowing into sectors with closed value chains (tea, seafood, coffee, rubber, etc.) with high export value, sectors that provide stable cash flow such as education and healthcare, and significantly reducing the proportion of loans to the real estate sector.
In 2026, Nam A Bank aims for a pre-tax profit of VND6,200 billion, a high growth rate compared to the results of 2025. Thus, with the results of the first nine months of the year, Nam A Bank has achieved nearly 80% of its pre-tax profit plan and over 95% of its growth target.
