AsemconnectVietnam - On September 30th, Vietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR) conducted a trial sale of 40,000 liters of White Spirit (white solvent) to New Generation Paint Co., Ltd.

This is the result of proactive research, evaluation, and implementation of technical solutions to produce White Spirit that meets customer requirements, while gradually expanding the product portfolio and seeking new consumption directions and reaching new customer groups for BSR in the future.
Previously, BSR sent White Spirit samples to New Generation Paint Co., Ltd. and several other units for testing. After evaluating the samples, New Generation Paint Co., Ltd. proposed cooperating with BSR to conduct product trials within its system to assess application potential, product quality, and market feedback. The trial results will serve as a basis for considering expanding the market beyond the system and increasing demand in the future. According to the plan, the demand for fuel for the trial period from September to December 2026 is expected to be approximately 40,000 - 250,000 liters/month.
The development of White Spirit is also part of BSR's proactive and flexible approach to product distribution. Given the fluctuating market demand for Jet A-1 based on air transport needs, researching and developing additional products with the same refining fraction as Jet A-1 provides BSR with more options for product use and consumption, contributing to increased flexibility in operations and business.
Based on initial trial results and market demand, the expected output of White Spirit supplied to customers could reach approximately 40,000 - 500,000 liters/month. BSR will continue to research and refine the production plan, while also actively seeking and developing customers to gradually establish a stable distribution channel for the new product. According to Mr. Mai Tuan Dat, Deputy General Director of BSR, the trial sale of White Spirit acknowledges the efforts in researching and developing new products and the close coordination between units within the Corporation. This result demonstrates the ability to master technology, the spirit of innovation, and the ability to put research ideas into practical production. Diversifying the product portfolio will help the Corporation have more options to effectively utilize its existing processing capacity, while enhancing flexibility in production and consumption.
White Spirit is a solvent product used in many fields, including the paint industry, cleaning and degreasing, some fuel-related applications, disinfectants, and other industrial sectors.
