Saturday, October 3,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - The Board of Directors of Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (HAH) has approved an adjustment to the capital plan for 3 newly built container ships. Accordingly, HAH and Vietnam Container Joint Stock Company (Viconship, VSC) have increased their capital contribution by nearly VND376 billion, while correspondingly reducing bank loans.
According to the resolution dated September 30th, Hai An and Vietnam Container Joint Stock Company (Viconship, VSC) approved an addendum to the business cooperation contract related to the 3 ships YZJ2025-1744, YZJ2025-1746, and YZJ2025-1747.
The total asset value of the project remains at VND3,824.9 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 138 million, but the capital structure has changed. The total capital contribution from Hai An and Viconship increased to VND1,569.6 billion, while bank loans decreased to VND2,255.3 billion.
Of this, Hai An contributed VND941.8 billion, equivalent to 60% of the capital contribution, an increase of approximately VND225.5 billion compared to the previous plan. Viconship contributed VND627.9 billion, equivalent to 40%, an increase of approximately VND150 billion. Thus, under the new plan, the two companies have increased their capital contribution by nearly VND376 billion for these three newly built container ships.
Under the new plan, the bank loan is equivalent to 65% of the new construction cost for the two ships YZJ2025-1744 and YZJ2025-1746, while the YZJ2025-1747 has a loan ratio of 50% of the new construction cost. Both parties will contribute capital according to the shipbuilding progress and the loan disbursement plan.
Alongside the three aforementioned vessels, HAH and Viconship are also implementing a project to build two new vessels, the C7100-17 and C7100-18, with a total estimated asset value of VND5,103.4 billion.
The two parties are expected to contribute VND1,742.7 billion, with HAH contributing 60%, equivalent to VND1,045.6 billion, and Viconship contributing 40%, equivalent to VND697.1 billion. The bank loan portion is expected to be VND3,360.8 billion.
Thus, the two projects comprise a total of five container ships, with a total estimated asset value of approximately VND8,928.4 billion. Hai An is expected to contribute nearly VND1,987.4 billion, while Viconship will contribute approximately VND1,325 billion. The total loan for both projects is approximately VND5,620 billion.
