BAF spends VND162 billion to acquire an additional 75% stake in Hung Phat Farm One

 Thursday, October 1,2026

AsemconnectVietnam - BAF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company (HoSE: BAF) will acquire a 75% stake in Hung Phat Farm One Co.,Ltd for VND162 billion, thereby increasing its ownership in this livestock company to 100%.

The Board of Directors of BAF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company has just announced unusual information regarding the acquisition of a stake in Hung Phat Farm One Company Limited and the appointment of a representative to manage this stake.
According to the resolution, BAF will acquire the entire stake owned by Mr. Nguyen Tran Tuan Cuong in Hung Phat Farm One, equivalent to 75% of the charter capital, for VND162 billion.
Before this transaction, BAF already owned 25% of Hung Phat Farm One's charter capital, equivalent to a stake value of VND54 billion. After the acquisition is completed, BAF will own 100% of the capital in Hung Phat Farm One. The business was converted into a wholly-owned limited liability company with BAF as the sole owner, holding 100% of the charter capital, equivalent to VND216 billion.
BAF appointed Mr. Truong Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director, as Chairman, Director, and legal representative, authorized to manage all of BAF's capital contribution in Hung Phat Farm One.
Hung Phat Farm One was established on January 26, 2021, primarily engaged in pig farming and pig breeding, with its headquarters located in Bi Giong village, Po To commune, Gia Lai province.
BAF first announced the acquisition of 25% of the capital in this enterprise in May 2026.
Notably, Hung Phat Farm One is directly linked to BAF's strategy of expanding high-tech livestock farming in Gia Lai.
In June, BAF commenced construction on Hung Phat Farm One, a project with a capacity of 5,000 sows, 60,000 fattening pigs, and the potential to supply approximately 150,000 commercial pigs annually.
This is one of two high-tech livestock projects in Gia Lai province funded by BAF using a total credit limit of US$50 million from the Netherlands Enterprise Development Bank (FMO) and other international financial institutions.
According to information released by BAF, the Hung Phat Farm One project, along with the Thanh Dat project, is expected to generate a total revenue of approximately VND2 trillion per year when operating at full capacity.
Previously, BAF's capital contribution to Hung Phat Farm One was used as collateral for the aforementioned US$50 million credit. This indicates that Hung Phat Farm One is one of the legal entities within the system of livestock projects that BAF is raising capital for to expand its scale.
The increase in ownership from 25% to 100% therefore occurred during a period when BAF was accelerating the expansion of its livestock farming chain based on the Feed-Farm-Food model, while simultaneously increasing the number of legal entities and projects it directly controls.
