AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam Livestock Industry Corporation (Vissan, code VSN - UPCoM) announced documents for shareholder consultation in writing, before 5 PM on September 29th.

Vissan is submitting to shareholders for approval the adjustment of the project “Relocation and technological modernization of the Vissan livestock slaughtering and food processing plant”, a project to be implemented in Thanh Loi commune, Tay Ninh province, with a total land area of 224,012.08 m2.
The total investment is VND1,558.4 billion, and the project is expected to start construction in November 2026. The project includes a pig slaughtering line with a capacity of 240 pigs/hour; relocation of one buffalo and cattle slaughtering line with a capacity of 30 animals/hour; and sausage production with a scale of 900 tons/year. The project includes the production of canned goods with a capacity of 2,650 tons/year; sterilized sausages with a capacity of 20,800 tons/year; processed meats with a capacity of 3,400 tons/year; various types of ham with a capacity of 1,500 tons/year; and supporting systems for freezing, deep freezing, and cold storage...
Vissan added that the purpose of investing in the project is to relocate the old production and business facilities out of the city center in accordance with Ho Chi Minh City's policy, while simultaneously modernizing the livestock slaughtering technology line (the current technology dates back to before 1975), increasing production output, and enhancing competitiveness...
It is known that, according to the directive of Ho Chi Minh City leaders, Vissan must relocate and return the land of the Vissan factory at 420 No Trang Long Street, Binh Loi Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, Vissan also plans to relocate to meet the relocation plan in 2029.
Regarding business operations, in the first half of 2026, Vissan recorded revenue of VND1,398.55 billion, a decrease of 1.5% compared to the same period; after-tax profit reached VND37.43 billion, an increase of 11.4% compared to the same period. The gross profit margin improved from 21.5% to 23.5%.
In 2026, Vissan set a business plan with total revenue of VND3,270 billion and expected pre-tax profit of VND115.6 billion. Thus, ending the first half of 2026 with pre-tax profit reaching VND48.04 billion, Vissan has only completed 41.6% of its annual plan.
