Vinh Hoan (VHC) reaches VND1,099 billion revenue in 8 months
Tuesday, September 22,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company (stock code VHC) has just announced its August 2026 revenue, showing a slight 2% increase compared to the same period last year, despite a decline in its main product, pangasius fish.
VHC stated that total revenue in August 2026 reached VND1,099 billion, a 2% increase compared to the same period last year, thanks to growth in the following segments: by-products (+21%), other products (+12%), noodles & rice paper (+30%), shrimp crackers (+20%), and value-added products (+4%). The increase in the aforementioned segments partially offset the decline in pangasius fish products (down 4% year-on-year) and healthcare products (down 34% year-on-year).
With these results, VHC has regained its growth momentum after a period of decline. Previously, in July 2026, Vinh Hoan recorded a 10% decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year, reaching VND1,148 billion.
In August, Vinh Hoan stated that revenue growth was driven by the Chinese market (56% year-on-year growth), Europe (10% year-on-year growth), and other regions (26% year-on-year growth). Meanwhile, the US market recorded a 15% year-on-year decrease, and the Vietnamese market decreased by 13% year-on-year.
Specifically, revenue from the Chinese market reached VND113 billion, a significant increase of 56% (compared to VND73 billion in the same period last year). Revenue from the European market reached VND267 billion, a 10% increase compared to VND244 billion in the same period last year.
Revenue from the US decreased by 15% year-on-year, reaching VND231 billion, while domestic market revenue decreased by 13% year-on-year, reaching VND281 billion.
Regarding product categories, revenue from pangasius – the main product – recorded an 8% decrease in August 2026 compared to the previous month, reaching VND535 billion. VHC's pangasius exports decreased sharply in the Chinese and US markets. Product groups that recorded significant declines in August included vermicelli and rice paper (down 35%), reaching VND30 billion; other products (down 10%, reaching VND193 billion); and value-added products (down 27%, reaching VND12 billion).
In the month, some product categories recorded strong growth, such as by-products (up 11%, reaching VND245 billion), shrimp crackers (+10%) reaching VND29 billion, and health care products (+36%) reaching VND54 billion.
Regarding export markets, there was a decrease of 17% compared to the previous month in China and the US (down 28% compared to the previous month); however, this decrease was partially offset by increases in Europe (up 14% compared to the previous month), other regions (up 3% compared to the previous month), and Vietnam (up 11% compared to the previous month).
