Mobile World Group (MWG) reaches historical revenue of VND18,037 billion in August, up nearly 36%
Sunday, September 20,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Mobile World Group (MWG) has just recorded its highest monthly revenue ever, opening up prospects for its 2026 full-year business results to far exceed the forecasts of securities companies.
According to the latest updated report, MWG recorded a record revenue of VND18,037 billion in August 2026, marking an impressive growth of 35.7% compared to the same period last year and a 12.1% increase compared to the previous month.
Analysts believe that, due to the cyclical nature of the retail industry with high purchasing power in the second half of the year, current forecasts from financial institutions appear quite cautious compared to the actual breakthrough of the business.
The Dien May Xanh (DMX) chain continues to be the main growth driver of the group. In August, the chain generated VND11.6 trillion, a 29.2% increase year-on-year and a 16.9% increase compared to the previous month. Notably, this growth was achieved while the number of stores remained relatively flat, meaning average revenue per store increased by approximately 30% year-on-year.
The momentum of the DMX chain is expected to continue into September and October. The recent launch of the iPhone 18 series attracted 160,000 pre-orders in the first 30 minutes, double that of its predecessor. This figure demonstrates the continued strong domestic demand, even though the Air series was not initially launched. Overall, in the first eight months, DMX completed 67.9% of its annual plan, exceeding the planned schedule.
The Bach Hoa Xanh (BHX) essential goods retail segment is showing rapid growth in both aspects: network expansion and operational efficiency. The chain's August revenue reached VND6,125 billion, a strong 51.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
As of September 14th, according to the Bach Hoa Xanh website, the system has 3,719 operating stores, an increase of 107 stores compared to the end of August and 1,160 stores compared to the beginning of the year, achieving its full-year plan.
Not only has the quantity increased, but the quality of the chain's operations has also improved significantly, with average revenue per store reaching VND1.65 billion/month in the first eight months of the year, 4% higher than the projected full-year figure of VND1.58 billion/month. Currently, BHX's cumulative revenue for the first eight months has reached 65.1% of the annual forecast and is on track to meet expectations.
For the first eight months of the year, MWG recorded consolidated revenue of VND129,400 billion, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.
Specifically, DMX, the subsidiary managing the mobile phone and electronics business, achieved revenue of VND86,800 billion in the first eight months, a 29% increase.
Bach Hoa Xanh achieved revenue of VND40,100 billion in the first eight months, an increase of nearly 32%. Bach Hoa Xanh's growth is noteworthy, continuing its upward trend in recent months. August also marks the first time this year that the chain has achieved cumulative revenue growth exceeding 30%.
