TTC restructures ownership at AgriS, long-term orientation remains unchanged
Sunday, September 6,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Thanh Thanh Cong Investment Joint Stock Company (TTCI) has registered to sell 137,738,968 shares of Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (AgriS, HOSE: SBT), and Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc - Standing Vice Chairman and General Director of TTCI, has registered to sell 65,763,808 SBT shares. These transactions are registered for the purpose of portfolio restructuring.
From the M&A story to ESG and international standards
From the perspective of TTC Group, adjusting the ownership ratio at AgriS is part of the process of optimizing the portfolio and rearranging financial resources, thereby increasing flexibility in capital allocation and better aligning with long-term management orientation.
In its 2026-2030 strategy, TTC has identified continued priorities for environmentally friendly investment portfolios and support for the green economy. The focus includes agriculture, energy, residential real estate, industrial real estate, tourism, and education. These are sectors that have been associated with TTC for over 47 years and have significant potential for sustainable development.
This ownership restructuring coincides with AgriS entering a new growth cycle, aiming to expand its agricultural and food ecosystem, further improve operational efficiency, increase value across the entire chain, and create sustainable growth momentum in the coming years.
Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc has played a crucial role in shaping AgriS's transformation strategy over the past decades. While in previous decades, AgriS primarily developed through M&A via mergers of sugar factories, expanding processing capacity and increasing raw material areas, alongside improving product quality, the growth drivers of the current phase are fundamentally different.
AgriS's current focus is on providing high-tech agricultural solutions, developing a circular agricultural ecosystem model based on three pillars: AgTech (Agricultural Technology), FoodTech (Food Technology), and FinTech (Financial Technology), built on an ESG (Economics, Sustainable, and Sustainable) foundation.
AgriS builds and operates a circular trade value chain, with over 200 product lines spanning key sectors such as sugarcane, coconut, banana, rice, and pineapple, serving both the domestic market and exporting to nearly 80 international markets. AgriS's product portfolio includes raw materials, processed products, and value-added products, meeting international quality standards, traceability, and sustainable development.
Market Concerns
For a publicly listed company, ownership changes are an indicator that investors need to monitor, but the long-term value of the business is still determined by the quality of governance, the effectiveness of strategy implementation, and the ability to generate sustainable cash flow.
In this respect, key indicators to watch for AgriS in the coming years are the degree of governance standardization according to international practices, the progress of portfolio restructuring to focus resources on core business areas, and the actual effectiveness of ESG initiatives when translated into commercial advantages in export markets.
Although the ownership structure has been adjusted in stages, the governance spirit, operational experience, and expertise passed down from the founders of TTC Group have been maintained throughout nearly five decades of development. This is the foundation for the next generation of young leaders to continue inheriting the governance values, while innovating operational thinking to suit the requirements of each stage.
Following that direction, TTC continues to maintain consistency in governance and development strategy, while enhancing its adaptability to market changes. This forms the basis for the group to continue creating long-term value for the business, shareholders, and stakeholders in the coming period.
