Sunday, August 30,2026
AsemconnectVietnam - Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (Casumina, stock code CSM) has just announced its reviewed half-year financial report for 2026, showing a slight increase in revenue but a breakthrough increase in after-tax profit.
Casumina's reviewed half-year financial report recorded net revenue from sales and services of over VND2,253 billion, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. After-tax profit reached VND48.9 billion, a 40% increase compared to the same period last year (VND38.9 billion).
Explaining the reasons for the breakthrough profit growth in the first six months of the year after review, the company stated that the positive contribution to the half-year business picture was the growth in gross profit, with net revenue increasing by VND126.2 billion (corresponding to a 6% increase), while the cost of goods sold only increased by VND79.8 billion (corresponding to a 4% increase), resulting in a gross profit from sales and services of VND46.3 billion, or 17%. In addition, other income increased by VND2.93 billion thanks to increased other income and a slight decrease of VND578 million in current corporate income tax expenses.
Furthermore, during the period, financial expenses increased by VND23.3 billion, or 64%, mainly due to an increase of VND17.1 billion in interest expenses (corresponding to a 55% increase) and a decrease of VND 5.45 billion in financial income. Simultaneously, selling expenses and administrative expenses also recorded increases of VND3.7 billion and VND472 million respectively, along with the absence of the deferred corporate income tax reversal from the previous period.
As of June 30, 2026, Casumina's total capital reached VND3,760 billion, a slight decrease of 1.6% compared to VND3,822 billion at the beginning of the year. Equity reached VND1,408 billion, of which owner's contributed capital was VND1,036 billion, and undistributed after-tax profit was over VND117.3 billion.
The company's liabilities decreased by 9% compared to the beginning of the year, to VND2,352 billion, mainly consisting of short-term debt of over VND2,222 billion, accounting for 94.4% of total outstanding debt.
Casumina has just passed a Board of Directors resolution approving its business plan for the third quarter of 2026, aiming for total revenue of VND1,300 billion, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year, and pre-tax profit of VND30 billion, equivalent to the same period last year.
The company sets a target for industrial production at market prices of VND1,320 billion, a 22% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue from industrial production from the export market is projected at VND660 billion, and domestic revenue at VND630 billion.
