According to statistics recently released by the General Department of Customs (Ministry of Finance), the total value of goods exports and imports reached $52.32 billion in the first half of August 2026. Of this, export turnover stood at $25.41 billion, demonstrating that goods trade activity continues to maintain a positive growth pace.
Notably, the export structure remained concentrated in high-value product groups. In the first half of August, four product groups achieved a turnover of $1 billion or more, including computers, electronic products, and components; telephones and components; machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts; and textiles and garments.

Two product groups exceeded the $1 billion mark were computers, electronic products, and components ($12.73 billion) and machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts ($3.12 billion). These two groups alone accounted for 58.9% of the country’s total import turnover. Cumulatively, from the beginning of the year to August 15, Vietnam’s total import-export turnover reached $712.72 billion, comprising $345.42 billion in exports and $367.3 billion in imports.
