AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank, ticker CTG - HOSE) has just announced its Q2/2026 financial report, showing continued expansion of operations along with positive growth in revenue sources.

By the end of Q2/2026, VietinBank's total assets reached over VND2.9 trillion, an increase of 7% compared to the beginning of the year. Outstanding customer loans reached VND2.09 trillion, an increase of 5%.
On the deposit side, customer deposits at the end of Q2 reached VND1.89 trillion, an increase of 5.4% compared to the beginning of the year. According to VietinBank, this growth is consistent with the capital balance orientation, meeting liquidity needs and complying with operational safety ratios.
Regarding revenue sources, net interest income in the first six months of the year increased by 28.1% compared to the same period in 2025. Net income from service activities increased by 35.2%, with service revenue increasing by 28.9% and service expenses increasing by 22.5%.
Notably, the bank continued to maintain its risk provision resources. By the end of the second quarter, the non-performing loan coverage ratio reached 134%.
Thanks to the growth in revenue sources and operational efficiency, VietinBank's pre-tax profit in the first six months of 2026 increased by 36.7% compared to the same period last year.
Along with the growth in scale and business efficiency, VietinBank continues to promote the digitalization of products and services, aiming to expand online transactions and shorten the customer's service journey.
In the corporate customer sector, the Bank has launched online credit granting services on VietinBank eFAST. Businesses can proactively apply for loans online, combined with online disbursement services to complete their digital credit journey.
VietinBank also launched a new version of its Open API Portal based on a "self-service digital supermarket" model, allowing businesses to proactively connect and utilize digital financial services.
For individual customers, the bank has integrated HomeLife – a digital real estate ecosystem – into the VietinBank iPay application. This platform is developed to support customers in the process of searching for real estate, preparing finances, and managing assets.
For household businesses, VietinBank has deployed the iShop Pro solution on VietinBank iPay Mobile, integrating needs from sales management and financial service usage to connecting business development opportunities on a single platform.
The expansion of digital products is taking place against the backdrop of banks continuing to shift from offering individual products to developing a service ecosystem, thereby increasing customer connectivity with payment, credit, and financial management products on a single platform.
With its business results in the first six months of the year, VietinBank is maintaining growth momentum across three pillars: expanding credit scale, increasing non-interest income, and controlling asset quality, while continuing to allocate resources to the digitalization of products and services.
