Lizen (LCG) plans to invest an additional VND16.9 billion in a subsidiary

AsemconnectVietnam - Lizen Joint Stock Company (LCG - HOSE) plans to invest in, lease equipment, and contribute additional capital to a subsidiary operating in the electricity production, transmission, and distribution sector.

Lizen approved the plan to invest in new machinery and equipment in 2026, with a total value of approximately VND338.21 billion; and approved the plan to lease-purchase LiuGong equipment, totaling 129 units, with a maximum lease value of VND280.73 billion for 36 months and a maximum repurchase value of VND84.22 billion after 36 months.
At the same time, Lizen also approved the plan to participate in contributing capital to increase the charter capital of Chu Ngoc Solar Power Joint Stock Company with a 98% ownership stake, with an additional capital contribution of over VND16.9 billion.
It is known that as of June 30, 2026, Lizen invested VND2.68 billion in Chu Ngoc Solar Power Joint Stock Company, accounting for it as an investment in a subsidiary. Chu Ngoc Solar Power Joint Stock Company is located on National Highway 25 (Gia Lai province) and operates in the field of electricity production, transmission, and distribution.
Regarding business operations, in the second quarter of 2026, Lizen recorded revenue of VND822.1 billion, an increase of 12.3% compared to the same period last year; after-tax profit reached VND36.1 billion, an increase of 18.7% compared to the same period last year. However, the gross profit margin decreased from 11.4% to 9.3%.
During the period, despite the increase in revenue, due to the decline in the gross profit margin, Lizen's gross profit still decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year, equivalent to a decrease of VND7.2 billion, to VND76.2 billion.
During the same period, financial revenue recorded a positive VND5.2 billion compared to a negative VND1 billion in the same period last year, an increase of VND6.2 billion; financial expenses increased by 47.2%, corresponding to an increase of VND6.2 billion to VND25.3 billion; business management expenses decreased by 36.3%, corresponding to a decrease of VND12.7 billion to VND22.3 billion, and other activities showed insignificant fluctuations.
Cumulatively in the first half of 2026, Lizen recorded revenue of VND1,163.4 billion, an increase of 0.3% compared to the same period last year; after-tax profit reached VND51.5 billion, a slight increase of 1.5% compared to the same period last year.
In 2026, Lizen plans to achieve revenue of VND5,000 billion and projected after-tax profit of VND250 billion. Thus, by the end of the first half of 2026, the company had only completed 20.6% of its ambitious plan for 2026.
